Welcome to the Mythical Type newsletter, where I share projects I’m working on, things I’ve been watching, and sources of inspiration.
November marks 3 years that I’ve been on Substack! I’ve been enjoying this as a way to send regular updates. Hopefully you’ve liked hearing from me once a month.
Zine updates
All the printed copies of Urban Legends have sold! Thank you to everyone for your support, whether that was through buying a copy or spreading the word.
I made a digital version of Urban Legends, which you can download on Ko-fi. It’s free or pay what you want. If you missed the physical copies, you can still check out all the contributions.
Left-brained art is my newest zine. I included tips for how to make art without having to plan all the details up front. This zine encourages you to work with the materials you already have and not worry about what people will think of the finished work.
Copies are available on Etsy (U.S. only).
You can also read the digital version on my website.
From my blog

What I’ve been watching
No spoilers.
3 Body Problem (streaming on Netflix) - Good sci-fi show but it’s weird. You have to be okay with not knowing what’s going on for a bit.
Agatha All Along (streaming on Disney+) - This is getting a lot of positive reviews, but it’s not for me. My biggest issue is that Agatha is not likable. She’s the main character, but it’s hard to root for her.
Jurassic World: Chaos Theory (streaming on Netflix) - Typical for Jurassic Park content. The only reason the franchise continues is because characters keep making dumb choices.
Thank you for reading!
