First, a PSA.
Free Comic Book Day is Saturday May 7
Free Comic Book day is coming up! Visit your local comic book shop on Saturday for free comics (and probably some other special events—some stores go all out). You can find participating stores near you via Free Comic Book Day’s store locator.
I will be doing my usual Visit Comic Book Store and then Get Sushi Takeout ritual. :D
Things I made
I made some updates to my website and blog, and I have some more planned. The design is a bit cleaner. I removed the sidebar and simplified the footer. I also created a page to browse categories of posts.
I was drawing mazes, and then I started drawing these…Tron races?
This newsletter is a good place to share little delightful things I come across and so:
Things I read
The continuing rise of virtual private neighbourhoods - About people moving away from public social media to smaller, private communities
To Do: The Alastair Method - A handy way to manage different types of tasks on one page
How to take notes like a pro with Notes to Done - A note-taking method that leaves space on the page for info you can add later
Practical Ways to Post Something Every Day - A list of things you can post online, in case you’re looking for ideas
Why writers need an email list, not just social media - This applies to any person who wants build online relationships with people (customers, community, like-minded makers).
That’s it for now. My zine-making has slowed down thanks to chaos at work. But I have one I want to make! Soon, hopefully.
Until next time!
